Story:
This appears to have been introduced by Amishland Seeds around 2009 or 2010 and is supposed to have come from a friend in the Ukraine. The tomatoes at first were unstable with different leaf forms, etc. but it now appears to be stable.
An extremely popular dark tomato with excellent flavor, it produces large beefsteak fruit that can get to almost a lb in size. The flavor is often described as rich and complex with almost wine like overtones. Fruit are a deep reddish brown and make beautiful slices. They are a little soft and delicate, so eat then soon after picking. Vigorous plants give very good production over a long period of time and seem to handle heat very well.
