Andrew Rahart’s Jumbo Red

A classic looking heirloom tomato – very irregular shaped beefsteak - that is nice and large, usually 1 lb. Flavor is really good, rich and balanced – that nice old fashioned tomatoey goodness. It has good production and fruit are generally blemish free – a great heirloom.

From Tatiana’s TOMATObase

John Rahart of Wyoming (WY RA J) introduced this variety to SSE members in the early 1980s. One of the 100 varieties described in Carolyn J.
