Arctic Rose

Nice smooth round fruit of about 3-8 oz. ripen a lovely pink. Flavor is nicely balanced, both sweet and tangy. Plants are determinate and are one of the shorter of the Dwarf Project varieties, growing under 3 feet tall.

Developed in the 2006-2012 by the members of the Dwarf Tomato Project from a cross between Budai Torpe and Black from Tula, made in 2005 by Patrina Nuske Small in Australia. Sherry Shiesl and Susan Bailey of Alaska carried out the majority of the selection work on this new variety, which was named collaboratively by them in 2011. Ted Maiden of LaFollette, Tennessee did the finalizing work and seed propagation (F8) for release in 2012. Casey's Heirloom Tomatoes of Airdrie introduced the variety in 2012.
