Story:

From Tatiana’s TOMATObase:

Sent to Ben Quisenberry in 1976 by Milan Sodomka from Czechoslovakia. The original Czech's name was lost, likely in the attempt to make it easier to pronounce and use by English speakers. Unfortunately this happened with so many tomato varieties that came to North America from other countries, when seed savers either translate the name, or rename a variety with a foreign name. This variety has been offered in SSE Yearbooks since the 1980 or earlier.
