Story:
Found by the owner of Dana’s Flower and Garden near Littlestown, Pa. She grew out some Goldie (a yellow tomato variety) and had instead gotten this plant that had beautiful dark tomatoes with incredible flavor. She wasn’t really familiar with dark tomatoes at that time since they weren’t commonly grown in her PA Dutch area. She conferred with Mike, who was part of the tomato forum, and he suggested calling it Dana’s Dusty Rose instead of – the dark tomato that was supposed to be Goldie.
It is not known if it was a rogue seed or a mutant but it now has a name.
