Eagle’s Beak aka Orlinyi Klyuv

One of my favorite tomatoes. Large heart shaped pink fruit with very good flavor and texture. Fruit usually are 8-16 oz. Very meaty but juicy so perfect for fresh eating. They also dried very nicely. Production was great, even in a very bad year. They originated in Siberia so don’t do as well when it is very hot. This is a very hard to find tomato commercially as it produces very few seeds .

Story:

From Tatiana’s TOMATObase:

Russian var. from Siberia region. Introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus, who shared the seed with Neil Lockhart in mid-2000s. Neil shared the seeds with other SSE members in 2007, and this is how it found its way into the SSE Yearbook in 2007.
