Indigo Cherry Drops

The newest release of the high anthocyanin tomatoes is similar in coloration to Blue Berries with just a little brighter red like a cherry. Fruits that receive the most sun will have the deepest “blue” color. Lovely deep red flesh inside. Fruit are 1-1/2” in size and have a wonderful sweet flavor. Yield is incredible on vigorous indeterminate vines. Give them plenty of room to grow.

From A.P. Whaley Seed Company:

“Bred by Dr. Jim Myers at Oregon State using traditional plant breeding techniques. The fruits draw their color from the wild tomatoes found in the Galapagos Islands and Peru. Indeterminate. 65 days from transplant. Dr. Jim Myers is a professor of vegetable breeding and genetics at the Oregon State University’s department of horticulture. He develops improved vegetable varieties, with a focus on varieties that are well-adapted for home gardeners and large scale growers in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to other tomato and bean cultivars, he was a co-breeder of the popular ‘Legend’ Tomato.”
