Midnight Sun

An absolutely wonderful tomato! Perfect heart shapes that blush rose pink when ripe. But when you cut into them, the magic increases. You get meaty slices with gorgeous colors swirled though out, especially near the bottom, and very few seeds. They are so pretty it’s hard to eat them! But when you do, they taste super. To top it off, the plants are potato leaved – my favorite. Very vigorous plants with wispy leaves, they definitely need staking.

Story:

This was bred by Karen Oliver of Ladysmith, Canada and is part of her True North Series. She has a love for potato leaved tomatoes and has been breeding up a storm of wonderful varieties great for our northern conditions. I’m so glad to have many of her varieties and adding more when I can.
