Moskovich

A tomato from Russia, it bears nice round deep red tomatoes about 6 oz in size. Production is good for the whole season and the fruit are resistant to cracking. Flavor is a bit milder than other early varieties. It does set fruit well during cooler weather. A good all purpose tomato.

Story:

From Tatiana’s TOMATObase:

In North America it is considered to be a Siberian variety, however it unlikely to have any Siberian roots. This cultivar was developed in early 1970s by Vavilov Institute (IOGEN, Moscow). The name can be translated as 'a person who lives in Moscow'. "Moskovich" is a spelling variation of "Moskvich".
