Orange Strawberry

A lovely bright orange heart shaped tomato with a definite point on the end. Very vigorous plants with wispy leaves. Production seems to depend on the year and location. Mine have had good production. Flavor is tangy, sweet, and intense. Fruits range from 8-18 oz. It makes a lovely orange sauce full of flavor. Also good for adding a fruity depth to any sauce. Great for eating fresh.

Story:

From Tatiana’s TOMATObase:

Seeds for what became Orange Strawberry were sent to Carolyn Male of Latham, New York, by Marjorie Morris of Indiana, who discovered it as a stray seed in a pack of commercial Pineapple seeds and named it 'Orange Strawberry' based on the fruit shape and color. First listed in SSE 1995 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Latham, New York.
