Pink Berkeley Tie Dye

Yet another winner from Brad Gates, this is a crazy colorful tomato with incredible flavor. So much flavor that in Farmer’s Market tests, 10 out of 10 people preferred this one to Cherokee Purple! Flavor is a complex, well balanced blend of acidic and sweet.

The somewhat ruffled beefsteak fruit are a dark pink/purple/black with green stripes and dark brown/greenish shoulders. The flesh inside is very dark, almost port wine in color with yellow streaks and very meaty with small seed cavities.

Compact plants produce fruit that average around 8 oz and are very vigorous with moderate to high production.
