Pusta Kolosz

This one grows BIG, usually 1-2 lbs!  A really large, red beefsteak known for its excellent flavor. Great yields.

  • Originally from Cluj, Transylvania, Romania.
  • Many Hungarians live in Romania and the name Puszta means 'prairie' in Hungarian. 'Kolosz' is the Hungarian name for Cluj.

First offered in the Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Michael Gunn of Pasadena, Texas (TX GU R), who got seeds from Manfred Hahm-Hartmann, Germany
