Russian Swirl

Another of the new dwarf tomatoes release by the Dwarf Tomato Project, this one is a smooth yellow with lovely red streaks and swirls. Fruit range from 6-12 oz and have excellent yields. Flavor is well balanced, similar to other full size bicolors.

Story:

This 2015 release of this Dwarf Tomato Project variety “originated from a cross between Golden Dwarf Champion and Orange Russian #117 made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005 and named Dopey. Dwarf Russian Swirl was selected and named by Craig LeHoullier. Involved were Patrina Nuske Small, Ray South, Craig LeHoullier, Jay Scott, Amanda Fischer, Antoniette Koshykar, Mike Mauer, Doug Frank, and Nancy Ruhl.” The seed was grown out by Bill Minkey. The seeds of this variety are part of the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI).
