Waratah

A new fine release from the Dwarf Tomato Project. It produces nice smooth red beefsteaks ranging from 6-12 oz with a yummy, well balanced flavor. The plants have quite high productivity so make sure to stake to support the load.

Story:

Waratah originated with a cross between an early generation Sleepy selection called Wilpena and Cherokee Purple made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2008 and named Plentiful. It was selected and named by Patrina. Involved in its stabilization were Patrina, Craig LeHoullier, Paige Prince, Susan Dzejachok, Joyce Beggs and Bill Minkey. The seed is part of the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). More information can be found here: Dwarf Tomato Project
